Mikanbako Corp. was established in 2008, with the mission to make Japanese products more accessible to the
world. At that time, due to the global financial crisis, it was difficult for foreigners to purchase
Japanese products despite the development of the internet and weaker yen. The high cost of transportation,
especially for smaller-sized goods, became a huge barrier to international trading. In order to make
trading easier for our customers, we started our small-lot delivery service for small and medium sized
enterprises which enabled them to send goods in cardboard boxes, without having to fill up a container.
10 years since then, in spite of currency fluctuations, Mikanbako has been successful in accumulating
experience and knowledge and developed a huge customer network.
Recently, upon request of our customers who manage Facebook/Instagram e-commerce platforms in Asia,
we have also started providing support for negotiations with suppliers, cost-cutting for supplier goods,
and the search for new suppliers etc.
